A lonely place of the suburbs of Kolkata , 12 o'clock at midnight was almost calm and quite with few persons on the street . People were almost non-existent specially on Sunday. A girl with a lap top on her back of the shoulder and books in hand approached near the bus stop . Perhaps she was looking for an auto as there was no bus by that time. She was quite nervous and looked around . Sometimes watching her wrist watch . It would seem very scared to see her at that late hours of night . That girl saw a man near the stand who asked her whether she was waiting for the bus ? But she didn’t like to answer him . Perhaps out of fear .
The man came forward and said, "Where will you go my sister?"
She would answer nothing and looked at the wrist watch .
Again he says, "I can not believe it. I am like your elder brother. You're not going to get a bus as today is Sunday . I think it was my responsibility to give you company until and unless you get a suitable dependable conveyance to reach your destination. Am I correct, sister ! I will let you go from here safely until then I will stand here whether you respond to me or not .”
Strange she looked at him with a surprise but still didn’t speak to him .How could she to talk with a stranger and that to a young man at mid night ? Kolkatawas not safe during these days for lonely girls . She was almost shivering with fear but didn’t express anything.
By that time an auto came with two passengers, including one woman and another man .
She spoke out her destination to the auto owner and was confirmed about . She rushed to the seat of the auto with a long breath of comfort . The auto ricksawowner said , please feel free and be comfortable . Nothing to worry .
The man who was there on the stand also got up on the auto and sat beside the driver .
She suspected him as that man was unnecessary showed the gesture of a gentle man which was quite suspicious. But her face did not say anything .
After two stoppages that lady who was only women on the auto got down. Now three men altogether and one girl in the auto. The girl was really fearing as she was the only lady passenger……..

She was screaming out of fear when the auto driver said …….
"Mother, I have a daughter of your age." Suddenly the boy said "Sister, you are of my sister’s age .Why do you worry ? I have marked you are very much afraid of us . Why ? Do you think we will harm you ?
" We are not naughty look. Believe us. You will safely reach your destination.
She opened the mouth, 'thank you'. But she didn’t think the word "faith" still exist in the Dictionary !
By that time she was near to her stoppage . She quickly got down from the auto. With much gratitude she looked at the man and the auto driver . She said, "Without you I would have fetched much problem to reach my home . I am grateful to both of you.. I got really scared, but ......".
The boy said , “ It was a part of my responsibility . You are like my younger sister”. It was not your fault . A girl felt in secured at mid night when she didn’t get a suitable dependable conveyance.” The auto driver said , “Mother you are of the age of my daughter whom I love most. I could understand your difficulty so I had approached before you ”
The girl felt sorry and paid the fare. She again said, "No, not all people are naughty . Good people like you still exist in the society . I will remember for my entire life about you two gentle man . The suited booted men are not always gentle man but a man who shows his responsibility and respect women and help them at their need are gentle man of the society. Hats up for both of you. Thank you again. I beg excuse and ashamed as I disbelieve you two gentle men. "
The auto driver and the boy looked at her slowly dis appearing on the street. She was safe to her home. The duo took a breath of satisfaction. Both of them were father and son.
